Stars Amy Adams, Matthew Goode and Adam Scott
Directed by Anand Tucker
Irish legend tells that, since the fifth century, women who find themselves in the land of luck can propose to their suitors who have yet to pop the question. The catch for these women longing to become legitimate fiancées? They only have 24 hours—once every four years—to utter those four little words to boyfriends who’ve been dragging their feet. And that day is February 29th. For any lady without that special ring on her finger, hopeful that love will prevail and ready to take fate into her own hands…she only has to wait for Leap Year.
This is a romantic comedy for anyone looking for a feel good “date movie.” Starring Amy Adams and Matthew Goode (watch out Gerard Butler… you have a little competition) Love is in the year this coming “Leap Year.” Why not jump-start your love life, by seeing this fun, lovable, romantic comedy.
Who knows maybe by seeing it, and if you want to get married, you’ll get courageous enough and pop the question instead! Turn around is fair play!
LifeBites questions:
- Would you propose to your boyfriend or wait from him to propose?
- Would you follow your heart in love or play it safe?
- Do you want to get married this year?

ReelBites: “The Ugly Truth” – Directed by Robert Luketic
In theaters July 24th
As part of our Summer Lovin’ Series, Columbia Pictures has a great movie this month to help us all decide how we want to play the game of love!
The battle of the sexes heats up in the comedy “ The Ugly Truth,” as Abby Richter (Katherine Heigel) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. She’s in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler), a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.
Questions to Ponder:
1. Are there rules to love?
2. What makes women tick?
3. What makes men tick?
4. Can opposites really attract?
5. Is it possible to find love just by being yourself?
